Helping individuals identify early symptoms of Parkinson's Disease
A Wonderful Gift
“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food and to eat when you are sick, is to feed your sickness”
– Hippocrates
The problem
Why does the medical community wait until a patient presents with motor degeneration in order to diagnose Parkinson’s Disease? No one is asking at risk groups the specific questions that can accurately lead to the diagnosis of REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (iRBD) and Pre-Parkinson’s Disease (Prodromal PD) when it matters most. The reason many have given for the lack of diagnosis is the fact that there are no known cures in traditional clinical medicine for Pre-PD. It is the intention of this website to break down those walls, ask the questions and share therapies being used across the globe to slow, stop or reverse Pre-Parkinson’s Disease. Take 7 seconds and answer the questions below to see if you might be at risk.
Do you act out your dreams?
End up on the Floor?
Hit your bed partner during a dream?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you may be suffering from iRBD (REM Sleep Behavior Disorder). Click on the link below to learn more and take a quick survey to better determine your risk factor
How is your oral health?
I am conducting research in the area of oral health, oral procedures and those that have been diagnosed on the Parkinson's spectrum. If you or a loved one is on the spectrum, please take two min. to complete my survey. This research is very important as we look for the cause of this debilitating disease.
Do you suffer from Constipation?
Have you lost your underarm odor?
Have you lost your sense of smell?
Pre-Parkinson's Disease symptoms can be very suttel, numerious, and show up 10-20 years before diagnosable motor symptoms manifest. Click on link below to learn more and take a quick survey to better determine your risk factor.
My story
One thing I have learned in this journey, is the fact we are the best advocates for our own health. Click on the button below to review my current symptoms and test results.
Personal health is a choice
No matter how old you are, where you live, whether you suffer from iRBD or Pre-Parkinson’s or whatever kind of health or illness you may find yourself in, every day we get to choose if we want to change? Regardless of the circumstances, we can do something. In my situation with Pre-Parkinson’s there are no medical treatments recommended by traditional allopathic providers to stop the progression of the disease so I find myself making those changes alone. Once diagnosed with motor dysfunction, they still can only offer drugs that are very ineffective. Against all odds, I enter each and every day with hope and fortitude as I search for a cure for myself and everyone else suffering with Pre-Parkinson’s Disease.
I love to research and has been the key to building a case for Pre-Parkinson’s Disease. You will find on my research blog all the white papers that are relevant to my journey to stop the progression of iRBD and Pre-Parkinson’s Disease
